I am a Ukrainian-born English writer, director and producer working within theatre and film. Having earned my BA (Hons) Philosophy degree from King’s College London, I went on to train as an actor at Drama Centre London, earning my Masters of Arts in 2021.

Since then I have written, directed and produced original plays, short films and poetry series, as well as adapted and translated classical and contemporary material in Ukrainian and Russian. I received praise from Anita Anand, Phil Willmott and Boris Akunin for my stage work, while the short films picked up nominations and awards at a number of film festivals, including a win for ‘Best Director’ at Tatras International.

My work is rooted in the Vakhtangov Technique, Shakespeare, Berkoff, Lecoq Mask and the Laban-Malmgren System of Movement Psychology, with particular focus on expressionism and farce in both traditional and experimental narrative.

I have worked with Riverside Studios, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, 1+1 (TV Channel), The Guardian, Netflix, Shelterbox, Macmillan Education, BBC Radio 4, BBC Worldwide Service, Baron’s Court Theatre and Pushkin House, and have been published in the Byline Supplement, The Salisbury Review and News Decoder.
