I am a Ukrainian-born actor & theatre-maker based in London, UK. I have worked on a number of radio dramas, political documentaries and poetry projects for BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, The Guardian, 1+1 Media, Pushkin House and Shelterbox and in 2023 starred in the Netlix series KOHRRA created by Sudip Sharma.

In 2021 I authored my first play SAMAADHI which, after an experimental run at Bridge House Theatre transferred to Riverside Studios for the Bitesize Festival in 2022. It was praised by renowned theatre director Tim Supple as well as TV presenter & author of the ‘Empire Podcast’ Anita Anand, who described it as a product of a ‘master storyteller.’ I went on to write and co-produce VRAG: STALIN’S NEW TRUTH for Riverside Studios in the summer of 2022 directed by award winning director Phil Willmott. Described as ‘dreamlike’ by British Theatre Guide, I developed the piece based on personal advice from Boris Akunin. The work became a short-film VRAG which went on to be officially selected by Klipist and Symbiotic as well as winning me Best Director at High Tatras in 2023. In 2024 I began developing THE WEREWOLF: OR HOW ONE VILLAGE GOT QUITE RAVAGED BY SOME WOLVES supported by UAID International with first runs at Golden Goose Theatre and The Space in 2026.

In 2020-23 I released a poetry series EMBERR Voice, adapting and directing work by Shakespeare, T.S Eliot, Dylan Thomas, Taras Shevchenko, Joseph Brodsky, Philip Larkin, Lesia Ukraiinka, Marina Tsvetaeva and Pasternak. My own political writing has been published in the Byline Supplement, The Salisbury Review, Wildfire Words and News Decoder, and I am currently an associate of VYR Collective, INSHI Cirque and Shum Theatre Community.

 

I read Philosophy at King’s College London before training as an actor at Drama Centre.
